Notes:   Minor possible correction for Surviving Roundhouses- 1886 Sanborn shows fully enclosed KC turntable just N of this one directly adjacent to machine shop. 1894 Sanborn shows this one in current location S of machine shop, now labeled as C&O. I also found an article in 3 parts under an L&N site at http://www.nkyviews.com/kenton/kenton_cov_railroads_ln.htm, titled "The Making of the Kentucky Central Railroad, which further complicates issues by stating that CP Hntington purchased the line, operated under the KC name for awhile, and leased portions to the L&N, which also ran to Covington on separate lines. Long and short- It appears this roundhouse (the 2nd) was developed by C&O. Just my thoughts. Thanks.
