New York Central | Briarcliff Manor | Putnam Division | Passenger and freight stations | 1959 | Fielding Lew Bowman photograph and collection | 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 BW negative | The station was built in 1906 by Walter W. Law in order to serve commuter trains to New York via the Putnam Division. It was built in the Tudor Revival style. Commuter service ended in 1958, and the township bought the station in 1959, eventually becoming the library. Tracks were removed and converted into a biking and hiking trail.
