About Our Chapter

Baltimore ChapterThe Baltimore Chapter, NRHS, is an all-volunteer organization with a library in conjunction with the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. The Maryland Rail Heritage Library is located at 1911 Falls Road at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum and is open on most Wednesdays. The Chapter publishes a monthly newsletter, holds monthly business meetings at the St. Ursula Catholic Church in Parkville, MD followed by a variety of programs, has an annual banquet and picnic, appears at occasional local railroad shows, and sponsors occasional field trips and excursions (such as Baltimore Chapter “Caboose Hop” excursion on the Wilmington & Western Railroad in 2009). The Baltimore Chapter was founded in 1936, and is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. It celebrated its 80th anniversary in January 2016. Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings, library, and events.
