About Our Chapter

The Grand Canyon Chapter focuses on past and present railroading in Northern Arizona, including the Grand Canyon Railway, ATSF, BNSF, and various logging roads of the region. We own and maintain a 1978 ATSF Caboose and 2 motor cars of local significance. Typical outings include an annual picnic in the summer, Christmas party in December, Amtrak trips in the Spring, and occasionally a Caboose Hop on Grand Canyon Railway. Day trips are also conducted to local sites of historic significance. The Chapter has also been involved in organizing the Williams, Az. National Train Day activities, as well as setting up a community Model Train Display during the Christmas Season. Look us up on Facebook for info on upcoming activities!
