About Our Chapter

The Piedmont Carolinas Chapter, NRHS, is an all-volunteer organization. The Chapter publishes a monthly newsletter, and holds periodic monthly business meetings at varying locations followed by a variety of programs. We periodically hold events on the PINE TREE STATE, an ex-New Haven 6DBR Buffet Lounge car which we donated to the North Carolina Transportation Museum after operating the car in charter service for many years. The Piedmont Carolinas Chapter was founded in 1968 and is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. It celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings and events.
