About Our Chapter

The Red River Chapter of the NRHS meets at the Moorhead Public Library on the 1st Saturday . Our business meeting is followed by area and national railroad events and update talk, pictures, slides, books and stories our members share about railroading. In October persons interested in our chapter can join our us by visiting our booth at the Spud Valley Model Railroad Show and flea market and become a NRHS member, or by going on the NRHS website also.

We sponsor a Railroad Day at the Moorhead Public Library in November in conjunction with National Model Railroad Month. Railroad history, model railroad layouts, and NRHS membership sign up along with fun for all ages makes this a great day. In December we join with the members the local Railroad Breakfast Club Railroad retirees, and the local N.A.R.V.E. members for a Christmas party and meal to end another great year celebrating our past restoration projects, events, and contributions the Red River Chapter has been involved in.
